We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at The Borough of Lansdale. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our residents and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, answer incoming calls, and direct inquiries or complaints to the appropriate staff person.
- Administrative Support: Perform general office duties, provide clerical assistance, and assist with office projects, bulk mailings, and outgoing mail.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records, including visitor logs, phone messages, and other reference materials.
- Communication: Develop effective relationships with department heads, residents, and employees, and provide clear and concise information to the public.
- Education: High school degree or equivalent, with additional coursework in office technology or two years of administrative office experience.
- Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of administrative office practices and procedures, Borough Code, and government processes.
- Skills: Operation of computer and basic office equipment, customer service skills, and ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Abilities: Strong internal and external customer service orientation, effective listening and feedback skills, and ability to analyze information and evaluate results.
This position requires frequent interruptions and involves sitting and talking or hearing for long periods of time. The employee may be required to respond to angry or upset individuals.
