POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is responsible for assessing, underwriting, and rating applications for specialized business associated with the Specialty Sales Division, which operates beyond standard issue protocols.

This position also engages with insurers, applicants, and policyholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate, underwrite, and provide quotes for all applications within a 4-day timeframe upon receipt.
Collaborate with insurers to guarantee superior risk selection and appropriate pricing.
Assess and make determinations regarding referrals for declines, non-renewals, and significant coverage limitations.
Possess a strong understanding of insurer underwriting criteria.
Engage with applicants and/or policyholders.
Support departmental initiatives.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in Commercial Property and Casualty underwriting or the capability to secure a license within 60 days.
Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Competence in analyzing intricate risks effectively.
Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to interact proficiently with others.
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
General proficiency in PC applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary systems.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
Familiarity with insurance products and underwriting protocols.
Additional Property and Casualty coursework may be necessary.
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Extended periods of sitting at a workstation and utilizing a computer.
Consistently required to use manual dexterity.
Regularly utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, interpret technical documentation, and/or use a keyboard.
