About the Role

Gaudenzia is seeking a dedicated Recovery Support Professional to join our team at our Kindred House Pregnant & Parenting Women's Program. As a Recovery Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey, providing a structured environment that fosters early recovery and helping clients maintain healthy boundaries and coping mechanisms.

Responsibilities
  • Screen and process new admissions, ensuring a smooth transition into our treatment program
  • Conduct client orientation sessions, seminars, and morning meetings to promote a sense of community and support
  • Coordinate in-house activities, including chores, breaks, exercise time, leisure time, and visitations, to promote a healthy and engaging environment
  • Monitor client movement and whereabouts, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Document hourly runs and client movement in the communication log, maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or infractions
  • Conduct room searches and random searches of clients as directed by the program supervisor, maintaining a secure and respectful environment
  • Deny access to unauthorized persons, ensuring the confidentiality and safety of our clients
  • Supervise clients taking their medications, ensuring their health and well-being
  • Perform regular room checks to ensure clients are on floors or in their rooms per program schedule
  • Follow protocol for reporting unauthorized absences, maintaining a safe and accountable environment
  • Monitor urinalysis/drug screening and breathalyzers as instructed by the supervisor on duty, ensuring a safe and healthy environment
  • Tour the facility at regular intervals to check building security and ensure there are no fire or safety hazards in accordance with program and regulatory policies
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean and complete weekly vehicle inspections, maintaining a safe and reliable transportation system
  • Ensure facility cleanliness and safety through regular inspection of sanitation procedures, including pest control, storage of supplies, and clients' belongings, and submission of work orders for any needed repairs
  • Ensure property maintenance related to inclement weather, including shoveling, salting, and de-icing walkways and vehicles, as directed
  • Complete written reports, documentation, and electronic incident reports as required, maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or infractions
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients and aid them in adjusting to their specific problems
  • Basic knowledge of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff, other agencies, and the public
  • Ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred
  • Ability to work various shifts
  • Basic computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Outlook for email, as well as Word and Excel
