Position Overview

The Clinical Trial Assistant plays a crucial role in coordinating activities related to the initiation and management of clinical studies, under the guidance of the Global Clinical Operations team. Responsibilities encompass a variety of tasks, including clinical study coordination support, vendor oversight, and data management projects. This position will report directly to the Director of Clinical Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate updates on study status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain effective tracking systems, forms, and documentation to facilitate clinical studies.
  • Support the clinical operations team in vendor management, including the oversight of study invoices and payments.
  • Assist in the creation of spreadsheets, presentations, and other materials using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Participate in the periodic review and quality control of electronic Trial Master Files (eTMFs) to ensure readiness for inspections and proper archiving of completed studies.
  • Organize and maintain electronic records of clinical trial documents for ongoing projects.
  • Assist in the logistics and preparation of materials necessary for study execution.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings within the clinical operations team, including kick-off meetings, and prepare draft minutes for review and finalization.
  • Support the tracking of clinical laboratory and pharmacokinetic samples across multiple clinical trials, including monitoring shipments from laboratory vendors and maintaining documentation for reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Clinical Trial Assistant in the life sciences sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), Electronic Data Capture (EDC), Trial Master Files (TMF), and related software is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Motivated to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
