Position Type: Part-Time (0.30 FTE)
Shift: Days

Role Overview:
As a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient 4th Floor department, you will be integral in enhancing and restoring patients' health through direct nursing interventions. You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, overseeing and guiding the efforts of other healthcare professionals while exercising independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize independent judgment to assign nursing staff to specific patients
  • Promote professional development through educational programs and workshops
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for departmental staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and suggest areas for improvement
  • Adhere to established departmental policies and procedures
  • Engage in nursing strategic initiatives focusing on quality improvement and patient satisfaction
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise other care providers
  • Deliver direct nursing care as required
Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred but not required)
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (preferred but not required)
Licensure and Certifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year of hire
  • Current RN license
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Certification in specialty area (preferred but not required)
Physical Requirements:
Heavy Work: Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.

Work Environment:
Potential for physical risks/injuries due to interactions with combative patients.
