We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at a 48-bed acute care behavioral hospital in Albuquerque.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about providing exceptional care and compassion to an under-served population.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing patients for risk of danger to self or others at time of admission and ongoing through hospitalization
- Intervening appropriately with patients experiencing a behavioral crisis situation
- Participating with the treatment team in implementation of the individualized plan of care
- Providing patient educational information for identified learning needs
- Facilitating educational/activity groups, recommending alternatives based on patient functioning level and treatment plan
- Providing supervision to Behavioral Health Technicians and assuming the role of Charge Nurse when assigned
Requirements include:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Two years as a Registered Nurse with one-year acute psychiatric experience preferred
