Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Systems Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Fire Alarm Systems Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler, and suppression life safety product lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test: Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical, sprinkler, and suppression life safety product lines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Service and Maintenance: Perform service and maintenance tasks on electrical, sprinkler, and suppression life safety product lines, including minor repairs and programming changes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, testing, and maintenance activities, including service acknowledgements and inspection documents.
  • Training and Development: Provide technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees on electrical, sprinkler, and suppression life safety product lines.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, including responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-5 years documented service experience in fire alarm or fire sprinkler.
  • Skills: Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics, and operational/product manuals. Ability to work with low voltage wiring and associated devices. Strong organizational skills and ability to learn quickly.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes. NICET Level II certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Special Hazards Experience: Experience working with special hazards systems.
  • Fire Pump Experience: Experience working with fire pumps.
  • Service Background: Experience in service and maintenance of electrical, sprinkler, and suppression life safety product lines.
  • NICET Level II Certification: NICET Level II certification.
  • Backflow License: Backflow license.
  • Familiarity with Sprinkler Systems and Extinguishers: Familiarity with sprinkler systems and extinguishers.
