Job Summary

This skilled position involves installing, configuring, and servicing Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control, and CCTV Systems at customer sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning fire alarm and security systems, as well as other related building system products. The position requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and organizational abilities to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and test fire alarm and security systems, including panel repair and reprogramming.
  • Respond to customer service calls, troubleshoot, and repair issues as needed.
  • Participate in after-hours service program and communicate with central dispatch on work order status.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and operational manuals.
  • Supervise and inspect equipment installation to meet customer and contract specifications.
  • Complete necessary certification courses on internal and external products used.
  • Submit all required task-related documentation in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems, Access Control, CCTV, and Security Systems.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational manuals.
  • Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and overnight travel may be required.
  • Demonstrates a prominent level of customer service and ability to lead and work well with team members.
  • Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, and possess a valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test, and obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two-year associate degree in Electronics, Network, Computer Science, or related field.
  • NICET level II or ability to obtain in first year.
