Job Overview

The Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our outpatient clinics, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.

About the Role

This position requires a minimum of two years' experience working in a healthcare facility, hospital, rural clinic, or health center. You must be board certified or eligible, with a strong foundation in medical knowledge and skills. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients of all ages, including ambulatory walk-in (unscheduled) and follow-up visits for chronic care.
  • Perform initial evaluations and triage for ambulatory patients, discerning the nature and level of urgency of complaints and treating or referring as appropriate.
  • Assess and diagnose needs, setting up plans of action to address identified needs and making independent decisions concerning evaluation and treatment.
  • Teach patients and families techniques on positive health measures, promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyles.
Requirements

A minimum of two years' experience working in a healthcare facility, hospital, rural clinic, or health center. Must be board certified or eligible. CPR and/or ACLS certification(s) are required or the ability to obtain within 90 days from date of hire.

$83,000 per year. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plan. Other benefits may apply.
