Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at the Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation kphc. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: You will work under the supervision of designated Clinic Physicians, providing direct patient care to patients of all ages with various medical, pediatric, and geriatric health needs.
  • Evaluate and Treat Patients: You will perform initial evaluations, triage ambulatory patients, and determine the level of urgency of complaints, treating or referring as necessary.
  • Counsel and Educate Patients: You will provide counseling and health instructions to patients, teaching them techniques for positive health measures, emphasizing responsibilities in medical care, diagnosis, and treatment.

Requirements

  • Education: Must be board certified or eligible (pass national PA boards within 18 months maximum of hiring).
  • Experience: A minimum of two years' experience working in a healthcare facility, hospital, rural clinic, or health center.
  • Certification: Must have CPR and/or ACLS certification(s) or ability to obtain within 90 days from date of hire.

Work Environment

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on location and experience.
