Reports to the Senior Director of Finance and Administration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
  • Manage payroll processing and benefits
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and filing
  • Oversee contribution records and additional accounting operations as needed
  • Assist with annual audit and budget preparation

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree in accounting or related field or eight years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles and experience in a nonprofit environment
  • Ability to delegate tasks and manage accounting staff
  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a church financial environment
  • Experience supervising a multi-person staff
  • Experience with payroll processing and reporting
