Overview

This role is responsible for the administration, development, and support of ESRI GIS systems to improve operational efficiency, ensure compliance with regulations, enhance responsiveness, and maintain a competitive edge. The analyst collaborates with various business units, vendors, and developers to identify requirements, investigate new technologies, and streamline processes.



Key Responsibilities

Core duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating the technological goals of the organization by designing, analyzing, developing, implementing, upgrading, testing, troubleshooting, administering, and supporting ESRI GIS systems.
  • Collaborating with business units, vendors, and developers to convert business requirements into technological solutions.
  • Acquiring a comprehensive understanding of the applications being supported.
  • Enhancing knowledge of Information Technology methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Utilizing analytical expertise to devise a range of solutions for moderately complex challenges.
  • Complying with departmental values, policies, procedures, methodologies, and security or confidentiality requirements.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with ESRI GIS tools.
  • Proficiency in database design and SQL querying.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with ESRI APR (including branch versioning), UPDM data model, Utility Network, and ESRI Mobile solutions.
  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages.
  • Experience with Web Services (WCF, WebAPI, or REST).
  • Project management experience is advantageous.
