Key Responsibilities

The Infusion Nurse is responsible for delivering professional nursing care, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. The key duties include:
  • Following established policies and procedures related to infusion nursing, pharmacy services, and applicable state regulations.
  • Complying with INS and IgNS practice standards, CDC guidelines, and the ethical code as outlined by the American Nurses Association.
  • Collaborating with pharmacy personnel, physicians, and patients to set and monitor therapeutic goals.
  • Conducting thorough assessments of assigned patients and formulating and executing individualized Plans of Care.
  • Managing vascular access devices, including the insertion of peripheral infusion devices or peripherally inserted catheters, if certified.
  • Providing education to patients and their caregivers.
  • Assessing progress towards therapeutic goals and advising physicians on necessary adjustments to the Plan of Care based on patient needs.
  • Coordinating nursing services with home health and community agencies as necessary.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A degree from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • A valid nursing license in the relevant state(s).
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Preferred experience in infusion and home health care.
  • Extensive knowledge in IV therapy is advantageous.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Compliance with company standards regarding driving records and age requirements.
