Key Responsibilities
The Infusion Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to ensure the safety and health of our patients.
- Complies with all policies and procedures relevant to Infusion nursing services, pharmacy protocols, and applicable state regulations.
- Follows the standards of practice set forth by INS and IgNS, as well as CDC guidelines and the ethical code established by the American Nurses Association.
- Works collaboratively with pharmacy personnel, physicians, and patients to create and assess therapeutic goals.
- Conducts thorough assessments of assigned patients and develops a comprehensive Plan of Care.
- Manages vascular access devices, including the insertion of peripheral infusion devices or peripherally inserted catheters (if certified).
- Provides education to patients and their caregivers.
- Monitors patient progress towards goals and recommends adjustments to the Plan of Care based on individual needs.
- Coordinates nursing services with home health and community agencies as necessary.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Active nursing license in the relevant state(s).
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Prior experience in infusion and home health care is preferred.
- Significant experience in IV therapy is preferred.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Availability to work flexible shifts as needed.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance are necessary.
- Must adhere to company standards regarding driving records and age requirements.
