Job Title: Report Analyst

At BankWest, we are seeking a highly skilled Report Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our financial reporting team, you will be responsible for collaborating with users across the organization to evaluate, define, and develop standardized financial and management reporting for BankWest.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with BankWest business managers to define, develop, and implement standardized financial and management reporting resources.
  • Accountable for the organization and management of the report library; delivering reports or report packages according to user requirements and established calendar schedules.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on available catalogue (cold storage) reports for all assigned systems.
  • Work with business managers to define necessary custom reporting and information needs not available in the catalogue.
  • Responsible for managing changes in standard library reports as needed.
  • Work with the Chief Financial Officer and senior leadership to define, develop, and produce standard reporting packages.
  • Possess a high level knowledge of BankWest report writing capabilities; supporting the Report Writer.
  • Provide knowledge and feedback to the Report Writer position throughout the report development and implementation process.
  • Work together with the Controller and Senior Financial Analyst to identify potential gaps in BankWest reporting or management information gathering capabilities.
  • Bring forward potential database or reporting tool alternatives.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Applicable experience and/or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Industry recognized professional certification(s) and/or certificates.
  • 5 years' increasingly responsible experience in financial institution management.
  • Experience in banking.
  • A good, working knowledge of all bank departments and bank operations.
  • General knowledge and understanding of financial statements.

  • Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; presents accurately and clearly in both verbal and written communications across various formats.
  • Independent self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of financial statements.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.
  • Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
