About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Services Coordinator to join our team at NavitsPartners. As a key member of our student health services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of students and promoting a healthy environment within our educational settings.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional healthcare services. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the daily operations of our health services office, conducting medical exams and screenings, and collaborating with parents and healthcare professionals as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Health Office Management: Maintain a clean, efficient, and organized health services office, ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.
  • Medical Examinations: Conduct routine medical exams and screenings, including vision and hearing tests, as required by law or school policy.
  • Health Screenings: Schedule and assist medical inspectors in conducting special student examinations, such as scoliosis screenings and tuberculosis testing.
  • Student Health Monitoring: Examine returning students after illness or injury, providing guidance on safe re-entry into school activities.
  • Emergency and Routine Medical Care: Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the building, provide appropriate care and responses to DNR orders.
  • Health Education: Develop and conduct health classes, creating engaging materials to promote healthy habits among students.
  • Liaison with Health Services: Collaborate with parents and healthcare professionals to address student health concerns, ensure seamless communication and care.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly reports on student health services activities, update and maintain accurate student health records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous nursing experience, preferably in a school or healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to respond to medical emergencies, with knowledge of basic life support techniques.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active RN licensure, and current BLS certification.
