Job Title: Firefighter

Join the City of Reno Fire Department as a Firefighter and be part of a team dedicated to protecting the community from fires and other emergencies. As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, conducting fire prevention activities, and performing various tasks to maintain the safety of the public and the fire department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and conduct fire suppression activities
  • Conduct fire prevention activities, including inspections and education
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on fire department equipment and facilities
  • Participate in training and drills to maintain skills and knowledge
  • Work with other emergency responders to provide assistance and support
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • Pass the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)
  • Pass the National Testing Network (NTN) examination
