Job Summary:

Nahan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead our night shift team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Direction: Provide guidance and direction to production staff, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning and assigning work, and appraising performance.
  2. Staffing and Scheduling: Determine staffing needs to meet production deadlines and ensure that all employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  3. Quality Control: Examine signoffs produced to determine if items meet specifications and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  4. Production Planning: Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
  5. Safety and Compliance: Support company policies, enforce safety regulations, and monitor safety on a regular basis to ensure a safe working environment.
  6. Process Improvement: Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  7. Communication: Confer with other leaders to coordinate activities of individual departments and facilitate Cost Center meetings.
Requirements:
  1. Problem-Solving: Ability to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives, and make recommendations.
  2. Independence and Organization: Ability to work independently and to plan and organize work.
  3. Coaching and Training: Ability to coach and train department personnel.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
  5. Computer Literacy: Computer literate.
  6. Physical Effort: Physical effort - refer to physical demand analysis.
  7. Language Fluency: Fluency in the English language is a requirement for this position to ensure the safety of all employees and team members.
Education and Experience:
  1. Education: A two-year Graphic Arts degree or five plus years related experience including supervision and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of production processes related to production equipment, materials, and product, as well as basic understanding of Lean manufacturing principles: 6S, Set-up Reduction, and TPM.
