  • Stay informed about evolving technologies, procedures, and materials by reviewing relevant trade publications and safety regulations. Advise management on necessary equipment upgrades and associated costs.
  • Supervise and assess employee performance, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Facilitate safety training for employees to minimize injury risks and investigate any workplace accidents, compiling reports based on findings.
  • Prioritize and schedule work assignments based on urgency and significance.
  • Assign team members to snow and ice removal tasks as needed, determining the appropriate tools and equipment for the job.
  • Engage in training and educational initiatives, encouraging team participation and sharing knowledge on procedures and equipment operation.
  • Perform additional duties as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Certification, AND:

  • A minimum of 96 months of experience in construction or building maintenance related to HVAC systems, including at least 24 months in a supervisory capacity.

Essential Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of refrigeration repair materials and tools
  • Familiarity with building codes and permit requirements
  • Ability to interpret and create complex schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and solution implementation
  • Capability to estimate costs for materials, labor, and contractor services
  • Proven supervisory skills

Certifications:

  • Oklahoma Unlimited Mechanical Contractors License
  • EPA Refrigeration Certification
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform tasks requiring reaching, stooping, and bending, with adequate vision capabilities.
  • Environmental: Exposure to varying weather conditions and potential safety hazards.

Supervision: Responsible for overseeing a team of 16 Senior HVAC Mechanics and Leads.
