Job Overview

Salted is revolutionizing the restaurant industry with its focus on clean-label, plant-driven cuisine. We're seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team in Long Beach, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support quality control and food presentation standards to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Hospitality Team to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to industry standards.
  • Assist in onboarding, training, and developing kitchen staff to enhance team performance.
  • Manage inventory, conduct audits, and oversee the budget to drive financial and operational success.
  • Help meet financial and operational targets by implementing efficient processes.
  • Ensure compliance with recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Report and resolve customer service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in scheduling staff and processing payroll to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support inventory counts and daily labor management to optimize resource allocation.
  • Address equipment and technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

Requirements:

  • Strong foundation in culinary skills, including knife work, flat-top cooking, and more.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience.
