Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate denials on explanation of benefits (EOB) statements and address issues until they are resolved.
  • Examine Accounts Receivable (A/R) reports to follow up on outstanding claims.
  • Prepare and submit appeals for claims that necessitate further review.
  • Provide any necessary documentation to insurance providers as required.
  • Investigate claims for information to ensure timely billing processes.
  • Engage in regular communication with insurance providers, adjusters, and patients.
  • Rectify any discrepancies and resubmit all unprocessed or returned claims to insurance providers.
  • Generate UB92 and HCFA bills by accurately entering data into the billing software.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience with MS Office, particularly proficiency in Excel and Word, along with internet software experience is necessary.
  • One to two years of relevant billing experience is preferred.
  • Capability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measure.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Competence in writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
