Electrical Design Engineer - Power Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team as a Power Systems Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical power systems for complex industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical power systems for industrial facilities, including power distribution, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communications systems.
  • Evaluate system requirements and develop solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Perform calculations and evaluations to ensure system design meets functional specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure construction, installation, and operational testing meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and documents for bidding and construction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • At least 15 years of experience in electrical engineering design of buildings.
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
  • Ability to perform power system studies, including short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, and arc flash.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Life Science and/or advanced manufacturing facility electrical design experience.
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
