Job Title: Maternal Child Clinical Faculty

Chamberlain University is seeking a qualified Maternal Child Clinical Faculty member to join our team in Wichita, KS.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced clinical instructor to teach Maternal Child Nursing courses in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maternal child nursing, excellent teaching and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students and clinical partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
  • Teach Maternal Child Nursing courses on-site at one of our clinical partners, with a schedule of 12-hour rotations (7a-7p) for three to four consecutive days.
  • Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments, including planning clinical experiences, providing direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students, and grading homework, quizzes, tests, and other written work.
  • Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
  • Keep course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
Qualifications:
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Kansas.
  • At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
  • Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain clinical partner sites.
What We Offer:

Chamberlain University offers a competitive compensation package, including a rate of $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the type of course taught, experience, and other factors.
