We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian II to join our team at Sutter Health. Your expertise will be essential in implementing patient care plans, exercising sound judgment, and developing clinical skills to ensure timely and effective care.
Responsibilities- Provide MNT and/or DSMT to patients, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to implement patient care plans.
- Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety while delivering optimal care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge, research, and best practices in nutrition therapy and diabetes management.
- Completion of an accredited degree program and a supervised practice program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- RD-Registered Dietitian/RDN-Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certification or eligibility to sit for the registration examination for dietitians within 90 days of hire.
- 2 years of recent relevant experience in a clinical setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures.
- General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and electronic health records (EHR).
