Job Title: Psychologist II, ER

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist II, ER to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide psychological consultation for patients presenting in psychiatric crisis in emergency departments and inpatient psychiatric units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mental health services to child, adolescent, and adult inpatients and outpatients, including assessment, treatment planning, interventions, and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with other clinical staff to ensure comprehensive care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Supervise psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows to ensure their development and growth as mental health professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and evidence-based treatments to provide high-quality care.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
  • APA licensure within the area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of human development, psychological treatment, and intervention modalities with children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
