Job Title: Psychologist II, Emergency Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist II to join our team at Sutter Health. As an Emergency Psychologist, you will provide psychological consultation to patients in psychiatric crisis in emergency departments and inpatient psychiatric units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mental health services to child, adolescent, and adult inpatient and outpatient clients and their families.
  • Assess, treat, and discharge patients in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with other clinical staff and supervise psychology interns/postdoctorates.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, interventions, and discharge plans.
  • Coordinate with internal and external community resources to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)
  • APA licensure within the area of expertise
  • Knowledge of human development, psychological treatment, and intervention modalities
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of psychiatric treatment problems
  • Ability to make sound clinical decisions regarding patient acuity and dispositions
Working Conditions:

This is a short-hour, non-exempt position with a varied schedule, including weekends. The pay range is $61.76 to $93.31 per hour, and the employee status is short hour 1.
