Your RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Buyer/Planner to join our team at our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that materials are available in alignment with our master production schedule.
As a Buyer/Planner, you will:
- Evaluate received quotes, select or recommend suppliers, and coordinate delivery schedules.
- Plan and procure materials in accordance with production timelines.
- Monitor and adjust work in progress and delivery schedules to meet customer demands.
- Ensure material availability through precise inventory management and follow-up with suppliers.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic production planning methodologies.
- Analyze inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
- Oversee forecasting systems for suppliers and support supplier development initiatives.
- Manage air freight costs and communicate Product Supply Agreements (PSA).
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field, along with:
- In-depth knowledge of procurement and planning processes, including purchasing, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and a keen interest in both domestic and international supply chains.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads independently.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.
