Key Responsibilities- Assist in managing store operations, including supervising retail staff and ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Train and model exceptional customer service, providing guidance and support to staff members.
- Merchandise, order, stock, display, and maintain inventory control of garden products.
- Provide daily supervision and work directly through a participative management style, encouraging a teamwork environment that meets customer expectations.
- Perform required administrative functions, including scheduling, reviews, and timecards.
- Manage product quality and stock levels, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to support departments and ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the store.
- Manage the entire store operation in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in retail supervisory or management capacity.
- Previous knowledge or work-related experience in garden center products, such as plants or landscape materials.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through effective communication with staff and customers.
- Good technical knowledge, including POS, Windows, and Excel.
- Demonstrated strength in employee relations, problem-solving, and customer service.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
- High energy level with the ability to provide strong leadership, train, delegate, and motivate staff.
