Job Summary

Homes for Good is seeking a highly skilled HR & Payroll Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, administering employee benefits, and performing various human resources functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for the entire Agency, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll records.
  • Administer employee benefits, including maintenance of employee records, pay action changes, and calculating adjustments.
  • Manage payroll-related tasks, including maintenance of employee records, pay action changes, and calculating adjustments.
  • Prepare reports, statements, and summaries related to payroll transactions.
  • Update Agency benefit system to ensure timely enrollment and termination based on personnel actions.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit premium statement; prepare for approval and processing.
  • Track and reconcile employee paid time off (PTO) balances.
  • Prepare, implement, and verify voluntary and other forms of deductions, such as garnishments and tax withholding.
  • Provide assistance to departments in processing payroll records regarding employee data and fringe benefits.
  • Assist the Human Resources Director in the administration of human resources functions, including reclassifications, compensation studies, labor contracts, personnel rules, employee relations, and labor negotiations.
Requirements
  • Three or more years of experience processing payroll and administering employee group benefits.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, report generation, and payroll-related calculations and transactions.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, local, and Agency laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in understanding cultural differences.

Homes for Good offers a competitive salary range of $35.82 per hour ($55, $74,505.60 annually), a generous benefits package, and a family-friendly environment with flexible scheduling options and paid time off (PTO) program starting at 5 weeks per year.
