Payroll Specialist

D Aceto Services LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll for our employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accurate calculation of hours worked, deductions, and benefits.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including summaries and tax documentation.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure timely onboarding and offboarding of employees, including benefits enrollment and termination processes.
- Assist with audits related to payroll and ensure data accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in payroll processing or related role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
