Position Overview:

As a key player in the industrial engineering domain, you will be instrumental in enhancing the production landscape for heavy-duty trucks. Your role will focus on the strategic integration of new products and features into the manufacturing process.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Formulate comprehensive work instructions and develop tooling for the effective rollout of new products.
  • Implement development strategies aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes and controlling costs.
  • Utilize Six Sigma and Lean methodologies in partnership with plant management.
  • Engage in Kaizen initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Actively participate in safety committees to foster a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs.
  • Oversee coordination with external engineers for process modeling and assembly documentation.
  • Manage the development of facilities and tooling to support new product introductions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within the automotive or heavy truck industry.
  • Expertise in Six Sigma, Lean principles, and visual management techniques.
  • Strong grasp of time studies and line balancing methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with a robust work ethic and eagerness to learn.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks Composer, and NX Unigraphics is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills across various organizational levels.
