Your Responsibilities:

  • Craft detailed work instructions, tooling, and methodologies to ensure the efficient rollout of new products.
  • Implement development strategies aimed at launching new options while prioritizing manufacturing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Utilize Six Sigma and Lean principles in collaboration with plant leadership to drive operational improvements.
  • Engage in Kaizen events to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Actively participate in the plant safety team, promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with design teams to ensure manufacturability in product designs.
  • Coordinate with external contract engineers to develop process models and assembly guidelines.
  • Oversee the development of facilities and tooling, ensuring readiness for new product introductions.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive or heavy truck sectors.
  • Expertise in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, 5S, and visual management techniques.
  • Solid understanding of time studies and line balancing methodologies.
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks Composer, and NX Unigraphics is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills across various organizational levels.
