Position Overview

As an Assembly Team Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the assembly operations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the assembly process by utilizing the AXIS Bill of Material, Composer, Master List of Processes, and Virtual Work Instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that assembly tasks are appropriately allocated among associates based on their work zones around the chassis, thereby creating a balanced workload at each station.
  • Deliver training and assembly assistance to production associates to enhance their skills and efficiency.
  • Confirm the correct installation of components and manage the Backflush process, accurately documenting any build issues in AXIS, and communicating these to the Operations Manager, Manufacturing Engineer (ME), and Quality Engineer (QE).
  • Conduct method and time studies, updating the Manufacturing Line Operating Procedures (MLOP) with relevant process activity cycle times while maintaining ongoing communication with the ME and Industrial Engineering (IE) teams.
  • Assist the ME in developing comprehensive Work Instructions, incorporating detailed guidelines, images, and other necessary information.
  • Verify that all fixtures, tools, and equipment required for the assembly process are ready for production and communicate any issues to the Operations Leader, ME, and IE.
  • Uphold 6S Standards within the Pilot Build Area, coordinating daily cleaning and organization efforts in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Provide coverage for associates during absenteeism as needed and perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Leader.
  • Consistently ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
