Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pulmonary Medicine Unit (PMU)

Overview:

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: 12-hour shifts, Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Compensation: Base Hourly Pay/Salary Range: $53.73 (Estimated range based on experience)

Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • ADN required; BSN preferred (BSN must be obtained within 5 years of hire).
  • IL RN license preferred, but candidates without one may be considered based on qualifications.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in telemetry or pulmonary medicine is advantageous.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • IL RN license preferred, but will consider candidates without it.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

General Duties:
The RN in the Pulmonary Medicine Unit will provide care for patients experiencing respiratory issues, including COPD, cystic fibrosis, and pneumonia. The nurse-to-patient ratio during night shifts is typically 1:4-5. The PMU is a newly established unit, and the hospital is actively hiring and orienting staff to ensure a smooth transition to full operational capacity.
