Thermal Services Business Growth Manager

The Business Development Manager, Thermal Services is responsible for leading the direct and indirect sales efforts supporting the Thermal Services business segment. This includes thermal contracts, installed solutions, extended warranties, thermal parts, and engineering services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement overall area strategy to meet or exceed established orders targets for all Thermal Service contract and installed solutions within the Area.
- Perform regular sales calls on existing Strategic, Named, and Key Accounts to establish new and expand existing thermal services and parts opportunities.
- Develop and implement partnering strategies with Local Vertiv Offices (LVOs), support and training of LVOs sales teams, annual business planning, and coordination of local marketing efforts.
- Attain sales quotas and planning goals in all assigned product and program areas.
- Perform site walks, customer presentations, and technical reviews as needed to identify, pursue, and close thermal service and parts opportunities.
- 5-7 years' service sales experience.
- Ability to negotiate in tough situations with both internal and external groups; can settle differences with minimum noise; can win concessions without damaging relationships; gains trust quickly.
- Working knowledge of Data Center & Communication Industries preferred.
- Working knowledge of Vertiv thermal products and services a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented, and able to manage and prioritize leads through multiple channels.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capable of resolving contract and product issues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
BS/BA degree in Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration or equivalent. HVAC, Mechanical contractor, and/or mechanical application engineering experience a plus.

Compensation and BenefitsThe anticipated total compensation for this role is between $165k to $175k per year salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. The role is eligible for a 30% Sales Incentive which pays monthly. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role-based. In addition, certain roles also can earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k.
