Job Summary

The Accessibility Services Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the department's exam proctoring program, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional student experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Employee Management
    • Recruit, select, and train student exam proctors, including hiring and onboarding processes.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure proctors are equipped to provide high-quality support.
  • Exam Scheduling and Logistics
    • Collaborate with the Assistant Director and front desk staff to secure rooms and resources for accommodation exams.
    • Utilize online management tools to schedule exams, assign proctors, and track inventory.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Communicate effectively with faculty, students, and staff to ensure smooth exam processes.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assistive Technology and Accommodations
    • Coordinate the provision of assistive technology, including secure laptops and dictation software.
    • Work with the Assistant Director to manage student accommodations, including requesting and sending Faculty Notification Letters.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis
    • Collect and analyze data on exam proctoring and student accommodations.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to inform departmental decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online management tools.
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in student affairs or accessibility services.
Work Environment

This role requires flexibility with work schedule, including some early mornings and evenings, and occasional weekend work. On-campus work is required, with the possibility of remote work arrangements as needed.
