Business Analyst Job Description

At MATCH Resources Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our sourcing activities and contract negotiation process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Access and interpret multiple data sources, including client internal data, supplier provided data, budget projections, and market reports.
  • Analyze supplier proposals for value to the client, using competitive intelligence, market reports, and client trends.
  • Develop functional analytical models of sourcing scenarios under the guidance of Service Line Leads, Subject Matter Experts, and/or Contract Managers.
  • Ensure all data and analysis presented meets quality standards for accuracy, completeness, and complies with internal accounting rules.
  • Maintain accurate records of team savings impacts via internal database application.
  • Provide support to the contract negotiation process by compiling, processing, and comparing contract information.
  • Prepare correspondence for distribution to vendors, participate in conference calls or meetings as requested.
  • Assist the Director with miscellaneous projects and analyses as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-5 year's experience, or equivalent combination.
  • Previous work with contracts helpful but not required.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is detail-oriented.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and deal with variables.
  • Previous work analyzing large data sets is essential.
  • Expert level skills with Microsoft Excel required. Familiarity with MS Access, SQL Server, or any computer programming language is helpful.
  • Is highly skilled in the use of personal computers and related software applications, including but not limited to intermediate knowledge of the following Microsoft products: Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • General understanding of healthcare industry from a financial and/or contracting standpoint helpful but not required.
  • Able to communicate professionally, effectively and courteously, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
