Job Description

We are seeking a Plant Logistics Manager to join our manufacturing facility in Fargo, ND.

This role oversees all logistics functions, including material handling, manufacturing operational plan, and material buying/planning.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering, and a minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment that has embraced Lean concepts, MRP manufacturing practices, and progressive supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing logistics departmental functions, including material handling, manufacturing operational plan, and material buying/planning.
  • Driving departmental metrics aligned with Lean Manufacturing activities in the plant.
  • Ensuring process structure, roles, and responsibilities of the entire team are aligned.
  • Managing sister plant and service parts deliveries.
  • Supporting new product launch activities by working with Design engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Bill of Materials, Purchasing, and shop floor setup.
  • Driving continuous improvement activity throughout supply chain controls within the plant, utilizing tools such as value stream mapping and kaizen events, improving performance, and reducing indirect labor, equipment, and inventory costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment that has embraced Lean concepts, MRP manufacturing practices, and progressive supplier relationships.
  • Minimum of three years of managerial experience focusing on talent development, standardizing, planning, execution, and process improvement.
