Position Overview

The Junior Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient distribution of supplies and materials across various service areas, focusing on both sterile and non-sterile medical products.


Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct daily inventory assessments at primary and secondary locations using barcoding technology to facilitate timely replenishment.

2. Address discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts, reporting any issues to relevant personnel.

3. Ensure all products and storage areas are properly labeled with identification numbers.

4. Optimize space utilization and safeguard materials through effective consolidation practices.

5. Maintain cleanliness in designated areas according to established infection control protocols and local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

6. Provide exceptional customer service to clinical staff and collaborate with logistics personnel to address supply needs.

7. Monitor stock levels, manage expiration dates, and ensure proper rotation of inventory to minimize waste.

8. Support inventory management specialists in tracking recalled items and ensuring compliance with safety alerts.


Physical Requirements

This role requires physical stamina, including standing and walking throughout the workday, as well as lifting and moving supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. The technician will also push carts of medical supplies that may exceed 100 pounds.


Work Environment

The position involves working in various settings, including medical centers and storage facilities, which may present diverse environmental conditions.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in supply chain management or a related field.
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
