Under direct supervision, you will assist in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic through the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signals and other traffic control devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signals and other traffic control devices.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of traffic signals and other traffic control devices.
- Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of traffic signal malfunctions.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of traffic signal systems, including hardware and software components.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated competencies in basic reading and writing.
- Demonstrated competencies in performing basic mathematical computations.
- Ability to receive and respond to verbal communications in an appropriate manner.
- Ability to work and communicate with supervisors and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner.
- Possesses the eye-hand coordination necessary to perform electrical wiring and physical strength and agility necessary to lift heavy equipment and materials and perform work at heights above 30ft.
- Possesses working knowledge of standard electrical codes/guidelines and basic electrical wiring.
- Displays a high level of commitment toward work and a high standard of ethical conduct.
- Ability to reason and select appropriate processes/guidelines to follow.
- Committed to providing quality customer service.
- Possesses a technical degree certificate or diploma in electric systems, electrical contracting, HVAC systems, industrial systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrated competencies in operating and maintaining commercial vehicles.

Working Conditions:
The selected candidate(s) will be required to be lifted up into the air in the basket of an aerial bucket truck. The elevated height will vary depending on the equipment, if the equipment is on the ground, sitting on a bridge/overpass, or sitting in a ditch. This Rated Load Capacity for the aerial device (basket) is 310 pounds. This Rated Load Capacity (maximum weight) is determined by the vehicle manufacturer and includes the weight of the individual plus any tools or equipment.
