Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food Service Team Member to join our team at Price Chopper. As a Food Service Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing food to corporate specifications, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide fast, friendly, and helpful service to all customers
  • Prepare food to corporate specifications to promote optimal sales opportunities
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with corporate and state regulations
  • Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, and helpful customer service at all times
  • Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customers upon fulfilling their requests
  • Responsible for sampling and suggestive selling
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times
  • Cook and finish food within company standards
  • Ensure accuracy of customer special orders
  • Merchandise all food products within company guidelines
  • Adhere to all corporate, state, and federal rules and regulations
  • Adhere to corporate uniform policy
  • Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures
  • Maintain Cold case logs, hot food logs, and cooling logs consistent with store policy

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Satisfactory performance reviews
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic literacy skills
  • Basic computer skills

Compensation and Benefits:

The disclosed compensation range for this position is applicable within the state the position resides. The actual base pay offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The compensation range is one component of Price Chopper/Market 32 and Northeast Shared Services' total compensation and benefits package, which includes 401(k), 401(k) match, paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and more.
