Clinical Educator in Primary Care

Department Overview
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is excited to announce a new community-oriented primary care residency program and is in search of a dedicated clinician-educator to enhance this initiative. This full-time academic role is situated within the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, part of the Department of Internal Medicine at OHSU School of Medicine.
Role Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Functioning as a primary care provider in the Faculty Practice, specifically at the Internal Medicine Primary Care Clinic, which includes both ongoing patient care and same-day appointments.
- Engaging in clinical education for OHSU students and, in the future, for residents from the new Internal Medicine residency program, including precepting during resident continuity clinics.
- Possibly participating in inpatient general medicine duties.
This position will encompass continuity of care in an outpatient setting, with an expectation of providing interim care as needed. Clinical responsibilities will amount to approximately 7-8 half days weekly, including one half day dedicated to resident precepting. Evening clinic hours will be required once a week. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with fellow clinicians are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess an MD or DO degree.
