POSITION OVERVIEW:

The main objective of this role is to support the planning, execution, and assessment of recreational, social, educational, cultural, physical, emotional, and spiritual programs, in alignment with resident assessments and care plans, under the guidance of your supervisor. Adhere to all health, sanitation, and infection control protocols while maintaining the standards of practice established by the community's administration and Life Enrichment Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of practical applications of Life Enrichment skills, including creative expression, music, group leadership, crafts, and leisure activities.
  • Activity Professional Certification or higher is preferred but not mandatory (certification is required for independent assessments and MDS completion).
  • Proficient in English with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated capability to execute both verbal and written directives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff.
  • Competence in observing proper safety and sanitation practices.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled hours based on position requirements.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience Required:

  • At least one year of experience working with seniors in a recreational or social environment is necessary.
