We are seeking a highly skilled CBRN Defense Scientist to join our team at SAIC. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical analysis and research to support the development of CBRN defense strategies and technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical analysis to address questions related to CBRN operations, including non-proliferation, targeting, interdiction, strike, counter-air/space actions, and CBRN defense technical domains.
- Conduct technical research and operational evaluations to assess, interpret, shape, and advise on the effectiveness of CBRN equipment and technologies.
- Apply results of laboratory and field testing to support the development of CBRN equipment performance criteria, technical reports, and operational concepts.
- Analyze current and evolving CBRN materials and delivery systems, and assess the effectiveness of Air Force protection, detection, and decontamination equipment in relation to the threat.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and nine years of related experience.
- Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Specialized expertise in technical analysis of major combat operations-related CBRN threats.
- History of lab or field analysis of MCO-related CBRN materials, to include development and/or review of CBRN-related test procedures and studies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office products.
- Ability to work from alternate, off-site locations as required.
- Expertise in computer programming for CBRN modeling and analysis, to include development of unique utilities to assist analysts.
- Development and participation in laboratory and/or field tests regarding CBRN-related material characteristics and/or physical/mental impact on humans wearing protective equipment.
Work will be performed onsite at the Pentagon or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and telework/remote as required.
CompensationThe estimated salary range for this position is $120,001 - $160,000.
