Job Title: Principal Radio Frequency Engineer

The Envisioneering Principal Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer/Scientist is a senior staff scientist responsible for the company's scientific leadership in support of the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Tactical Electronic Warfare Division (TEWD). This role applies broad experience in research and development of RF spectrum technologies to solve pressing problems in defense of our naval forces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply expertise in RF spectrum technologies to advance existing R&D projects and investigate novel solutions related to electronic warfare, countermeasures, and directed energy for the U.S. Navy.
  • Work closely with government scientists and engineers to assess studies and phenomenology, translate technical solutions into proof-of-concept approaches, and develop and test prototype systems in laboratory and field environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement EW systems or high-power microwave systems for DoD applications.

Requirements:

  • 20+ years of experience in a physics or engineering field (15+ with PhD).
  • Strong understanding of digital signal processing concepts and communication technologies.
  • Experience with DoD research and development and intelligence organizations in directed energy weapons or RF countermeasure technology.
  • Must have demonstrated experience with RF measurements and writing associated test plans.
  • Must have a Top-Secret Clearance.

Education:

  • Master's degree (Ph.D preferred) in Physics or Engineering discipline.

Salary Range: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00
