Position Summary:
The Logistics Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting management in overseeing the drivers and personnel within the Transportation Department. This position is responsible for implementing schedules, managing departure times, and ensuring the daily operations of the department run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate daily driver and staff scheduling to optimize workforce effectiveness.
2. Monitor and report driver departure times accurately.
3. Share on-call responsibilities with Transportation Department members.
4. Organize customer deliveries and communicate any delays or incidents to clients.
5. Assist in identifying rental requirements and equipment needs.
6. Handle incoming calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate parties, including customers, warehouse staff, and drivers.
7. Serve as a backup for the Transportation Manager and assist with log data entry.
8. Summarize and publish results of quality checks and on-time performance metrics.
9. Collaborate with leasing companies to maintain proper truck maintenance schedules.
10. Act as a key communicator between departments regarding schedule adjustments and new account services.
11. Perform additional duties as required.

Performance Metrics:
Success in this role is measured by the ability to accept challenges, meet established timelines, and maintain accuracy in all tasks. Effective teamwork and adherence to quality and safety standards are essential, along with receiving positive feedback from both internal and external customers.

Qualifications:
Education: A college degree is preferred, or equivalent experience in a related field.
Knowledge: Familiarity with Department of Transportation regulations is essential.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Access, is required.
Skills: Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
