Key Responsibilities
  • **Safe and Timely Delivery**: Operate a Class A commercial vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safe transportation of goods to customers.
  • **Route Planning and Execution**: Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, considering traffic conditions, delivery schedules, and customer locations to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
  • **Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection**: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and report any issues promptly, maintaining a high level of vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
  • **Customer Service and Communication**: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including courteous interactions with customers and assistance with unloading goods, maintaining open and effective communication with the Ops manager and other stakeholders.
  • **Documentation and Compliance**: Complete accurate and timely delivery documentation, including proof of delivery, mileage logs, and any other required paperwork, adhering to all relevant federal and state regulations governing the operation of commercial vehicles.
  • **Technology Proficiency**: Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to efficiently manage routes, track deliveries, and communicate with the operations team, staying up-to-date with the latest technology and systems.
  • **Safety and Adaptability**: Prioritize safety at all times, following established safety procedures and protocols during vehicle operation and deliveries, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changes in delivery schedules, routes, or other operational requirements.
Requirements
  • **Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)**: Possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and no major violations.
  • **Experience and Knowledge**: Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Class A Driver, with knowledge of the Tri-State Area roads and routes.
  • **Communication and Customer Service Skills**: Possess strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to lift and carry heavy items.
  • **Time Management and Organizational Skills**: Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
