Job Title: Red Hat Linux OpenShift Engineer

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Red Hat Linux OpenShift Engineer to join our team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for configuring, managing, and maintaining our client's Red Hat Linux OpenShift environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Configuration & Management:
    • Configure, deploy, and manage the Red Hat Linux OpenShift platform.
    • Develop scripts for automated deployment and management of resources.
  • Application Deployment & Management:
    • Manage application deployments on the OpenShift platform.
    • Work closely with development teams to implement Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
    • Monitor the performance of the OpenShift platform and applications using command-line and GUI tools.
    • Optimize performance and resource utilization based on monitoring data.
  • Troubleshooting & Support:
    • Coordinate with Project Management, Security, Asset Management, Customer Service, and Helpdesk teams as necessary for problem support and project management.
    • Provide support to development and operations teams in the use of OpenShift.
    • Troubleshoot issues and implement fixes in coordination with these teams.
    • Perform Tier III problem management, isolation, and resolution.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Implement and monitor security controls to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the OpenShift environment.
    • Participate in security audits, scanning, and mitigation of internal findings and coordinate security patches.
    • Install and upgrade software updates and security patches.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Document systems and network infrastructure in various written formats (VISIO, MS Project, Word, etc.).
    • Document all configurations, procedures, and changes.
    • Prepare regular reports on system performance, availability, and compliance.
  • Training & Mentoring:
    • Train and mentor other IT staff and developers in the use of OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma/GED and 16 years of relevant experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or science and 8 years of relevant experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US.
  • Government investigation and meeting eligibility requirements for Government clearance.
  • Verification of past employment, education, and references.
