Maintenance Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at Stryten Energy. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining our maintenance work order database, tracking repairs, and creating a preventative maintenance schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Assist in maintaining a well-organized parts room and track inventory levels.
  • Track and maintain training records and associated documentation.
  • Prepare daily reports on completed and incomplete PMs, as well as work orders created from preventative maintenance work performed.
  • Identify and address equipment downtime and failure trends, updating the PM schedule accordingly.
  • Create and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly schedules for each shift.
  • Verify completed PMs for undocumented parts and missing critical information.
  • Work on maintenance database development, entering new equipment and expanding machine hierarchy.
  • Communicate with production supervisors on scheduling planned PMs.
  • Responsible for scheduling PM crew and ensuring PMs are completed on schedule.
Requirements:
  • Prior industrial experience is required.
  • Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with continuous improvement efforts and projects using Toyota Production System and/or Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Master Green Belt certification is preferred.
  • Battery or charger manufacturing experience is preferred.
Competencies, Skills & Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of computer systems and programs like databases (maintenance systems), as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to give and share information to/with co-workers, customers, and production management.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organization/administrative and time management skills.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and able to work successfully without direct supervision.
Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly working in a dirty environment that requires wearing a uniform and safety shoes to prevent lead contamination.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
  • Occasionally exposed to precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
  • Noise level is minimal to loud.
  • Minimal travel is required within North America.
