Heavy Equipment Rigger

Key Responsibilities of a Heavy Equipment Rigger:
- Conduct thorough inspections and preparations of loads designated for movement.
- Accurately set, align, and level substantial machinery and equipment.
- Choose the correct rigging apparatus for each task.
- Prepare essential rigging tools such as beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts.
- Perform detailed inspections of rigging before final deployment.
- Oversee the upkeep and monitoring of rigging gear.
- Skillfully maneuver loads using both heavy machinery and manual methods.
- Ensure adherence to state regulations and company safety protocols.
- Maintain effective communication with the rigging and construction teams.
- Dismantle rigging equipment and carry out post-operation inspections.
Qualifications for the Heavy Equipment Rigger Position:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in rigging roles.
- At least Level 1 NCCCO certification is required.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations is essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of rigging tools and heavy machinery operations.
- Exceptional auditory and visual capabilities.
- Capacity to work at elevated heights and in high-noise environments.
- Strong mathematical skills are necessary.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift substantial equipment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in challenging weather conditions.
Compensation: Pay rate is dependent on experience (DOE).
